LTC Program Policy Analyst
This position is responsible for examining the efficacy of existing policies and laying out the groundwork for the Indigenous Care Management Model (ICCM) program to meet objectives and goals. Duties of the position include identification of policies or programs that support maximized health care reimbursement related to Long Term Care (LTC) managed care, developing and fostering relationships with government stakeholders, researching policies related to ICCM model development with written reports to Director that can affect ICCM model development. Policy analysts also work closely with stakeholders to assist Director in strategic processes for successful model development. Regular travel is required to meet the needs of the position.

This is a fulltime exempt position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. This position is located in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin. This is not a remote position. This position, based on skills and experience, has a salary of $58,000 annually with benefits including Annual Leave, Personal Leave and Holiday Pay; Health, Dental, Life & AD&D, STD and LTD Insurance, FSAand401(k) Retirement Plan. This position requires frequent travel for the purposes of attending community and program related activities. Drug and background screening is required before hire.
Required: A bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of progressive experience in Long Term Care and tribal initiatives. Strong understanding of LTC industry and market conditions with strong written and verbal analytical and organizational skills. Preferred: Master’s degree in human services or related field. Expertise and knowledge regarding tribal Long Term Care services and delivery. Skills and experience in facilitating small group learning and discussion programs. Experience developing collaborative relationships, preferably with tribal community organizations and government stakeholders. Understanding of the traditional American Indian health issues. Experience working with tribal elders and/or a thorough understanding of elders’ roles in American Indian communities. Experience working with American Indian Tribal Governments, Tribal organization and/or not-for-profit agency. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Individual must possess: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor and appearance; problem solving skills; ability to manage time effectively; self-motivation skills; work effectively under pressure; ability to build positive work relationships with internal and external customers; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people; speak in front of groups. Individual must be able to address a wide range of intellectual and practical problems, apply statistical calculations to findings, and the ability to compose complex business correspondence (reports, health profiles). Requires a high level of confidentiality. Must possess valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation with adequate insurance and ability to travel daily.
